About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV, and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center. Employees work Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and childcare available. Mass transportation is available at minimal cost. Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Motor Vehicle Operator (Direct Hiring Authority) without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common Motor Vehicle Operator duties. I can check weight limitations of vehicles operated in accordance to state law regulations, determining best vehicle to use to transport cargo to its destination, and performing maintenance checks to ensure vehicles are in proper working order. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Ability To Do The Work Of The position Without More Than Normal Supervision Physical Effort: Required to turn the larger and heavier type vehicle, in addition to the smaller vehicles, and to operate the controls. Frequent handling of objects weighing 40 pounds while loading or unloading; making couplings between vehicles such as using heavy chains, bars, hooks, etc., which must be lifted and properly secured. Working Conditions: Vehicles are operated in all types of traffic and weather on depot and public roads. The operator is exposed to the danger of serious accidents. The operator may be exposed to hazardous materials.
