Your resume must demonstrate at least six months of general experience performing administrative, technical, clerical, military, or other work that involve following written procedures, rules, or regulations in contacts with coworkers, supervisors, or members of the public to provide a service, respond to inquiries, or obtain information; AND, six months of specialized experience that involve the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; or maintaining order and protecting life. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
