GS-12 and GS-13: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
Experience:
GS-12 and GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

Experience determining plans, and developing the service demands for electric power, heating power and other utilities requiring considerable knowledge of the capacities and characteristics of the various power producing units and distribution systems. Experience developing and assuring the execution of a continuing program of preventive maintenance to keep the institution plant and facilities in sound condition. Experience meeting with representatives or architectural/engineering firms as required in the development of plans for new construction and major renovations. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise staff, to include planning, organizing, reviewing work, administering personnel matters, dealing with employees and union representatives. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.
