Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of Electric Power Controller without more than normal supervision performing duties such as:
1. Controlling the generation or distribution of electric power in power generating plants, power distribution centers, and substations.
2. Operating power generation and distribution systems supporting industrial and/or residential operations.
3. Operating control panels that allow remote starting of diesel engine powered generators.
4. Monitoring voltage and amperage and making exacting adjustments to the system to assure adequate power for load demands.
5. Reading/analyzing a variety of interrelated meter indications to detect abnormal conditions (e.g. circuit overloads, improper line voltages, or equipment temperature, etc.).
