This RANGE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST position is located within an Army National Guard (ARNG), Garrison Training Center (GTC), Range Operations Section and is part of the CA Training Site CSLO.
Requirements:
General Experience: Experience, education or training that provides a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration; Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information; Ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled; Experience using computer and automation systemsRANGE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-0301-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by: Experience implementing range operations functions directly related to the safe and efficient utilization of the Range and Training Area (RTA) complex during live fire and live training operations on multiple ranges, maneuver training area, and live training facilities; Coordinating training support materials for training units including, targets, target frames, sandbags, or other items needed; Experience investigating incidents that occur in the RTA complex as required.
