STATISTICIAN

Description:

You will serve as a STATISTICIAN in the OFFICE of INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Requirements:

GS-12
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying advanced statistical methods to assess educational program effectiveness and institutional accountability; 2) Designing and implementing statistical sampling plans, predictive modeling, and trend analysis; 3) Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of statistical methodologies in official reports; and 4) Creating compelling data visualizations using business intelligence applications.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using statistical methods to analyze educational program performance and accountability; 2) Assisting in designing and applying data sampling plans, trend analysis, and basic predictive models; 3) Checking statistical reports for accuracy and consistency; and 4) Creating charts and graphs to present data using business intelligence tools.
