You will serve as ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Berth Day Port Operations Center, Port OPS division of US NAVAL BASE GUAM.THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT. Section 1109 of the National Defense Authorization Act Fiscal Year 2020 Public Law 116-92 amended Section 9905 of title 5, U.S. Code to streamline certain Department of Defense (DoD) civilian Direct Hire Authorities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates directly to certain positions in the competitive service in the DoD.
Requirements:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing, planning, analyzing, programing, implementing, installing, and testing of all Degaussing Range software and hardware upgrades; and applying configuration control of software and hardware components of Degaussing Range. The Degaussing instrumentation includes scores of magnetic underwater sensors permanently installed in the channel of a bay. These sensors are connected to a one-of-a-kind electronic data acquisition system, and personal computer base analysis system, via unique underwater cable.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
