Description:
This position is assigned to the Recreation Division; Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC). This position is responsible for the control and accomplishment of management functions associated with the administration, management, operation, and utilization of the Marina facilities and assets.Requirements:
- Knowledge of boating terminology, watercraft operation and maintenance, water and boating safety, handling of boats (launching, mooring, and storage), boating equipment and facilities, and recreational boating activities
- Knowledge of military MWR and Non- Appropriated Fund (NAF) procurement, personnel, and funding
- Knowledge of NAF Budgeting and activity level financial management
- Knowledge of asset and inventory management
- Knowledge of managing customer storage contracts and recurring billing
- Skill in promoting, scheduling, and managing recreational boating activities, such as fishing tournaments, sailing regattas, and other special events
- Ability to direct the work of the other employees, monitor performance, and assure adequate internal control procedures are developed and operative
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Ability to perform minor boat and marina maintenance (e.g., changing batteries, scraping and cleaning boat bottoms, painting, varnishing boats, repairing piers and decking and replacing floats)
- Ability to tow disabled boats
- Ability to operate a personal computer and perform basic word processing and spreadsheet tasks using Microsoft and site- specific software
- Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
