You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Information and Personnel Security Office of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting security inspections to ensure compliance with foreign disclosure, intelligence oversight and/or operations security programs; 2) Conducting training on foreign disclosure, intelligence oversight and/or operations security programs; 3) Maintaining a database on disclosure actions to assist with reporting requirements and analysis of information release actions; and 4) Advising personnel on foreign disclosure, intelligence oversight and/or operations security programs.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series
