Description:
You will serve as a WEIGHT HANDLING EQUIPMENT PROGRAM MANAGER in the Maintenance Planning Branch (KN261) and Facility & Equipment Maintenance Division (KN26) of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.The incumbent will function as the Program Manager for the Command's Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) and NAVFAC P-307 Navy Crane Center requirements.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Establishing monitoring programs and steering metrics to include recording and reporting on the frequency of crane lifts, crane accidents, unplanned occurrences, near misses and crane availability;
2) Offering oversight and guidance to personnel for the standardization and implementation of weight handling equipment (WHE), material handling equipment, rigging gear, operations, maintenance, inspections, engineering, and certification requirements;
3) Providing detailed reviews of all crane maintenance, training, inspection and certification documentation prior to certification, periodic field surveillances of the program, and the processing of crane certification extension requests;
4) Initiating and ensuring that the implementation of federal, state, and local policies regarding the WHE program is completed;
5) Developing and auditing the policies that enhance WHE operations and maintenance best practices to improve employee safety; and
6) Coordinating on-site investigations and information gathering in addition to conducting formal crane and rigging gear accident investigations and reporting.
