In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must possess a valid state driver's license appropriate for the size and type of vehicle operated. Must provide a copy of current driving record. Knowledge of operating one or more gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW of up to 10,000 pounds such as pickup trucks, sedans, crew cab pickup trucks, jeeps, and station wagons. Possess knowledge of defensive driving techniques, including skill to recognize developing hazardous road and traffic conditions and the judgement to select alternate routes to avoid potential problems. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. BASIC REQUIREMENT: Must be at least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) and must speak, read and write English. Must meet specific physical requirements, must pass a physical examination and have required immunizations. Must be able to lift 40lbs or more and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate within 60 days, and satisfactorily complete and maintain Installation Records Check (IRC), State Criminal History Repository Check (SCHRC) and Tier 1 (T1) background investigation. Must satisfactorily complete mandatory training as specified below. Must possess maturity and good judgement and like working with children/youth and their parents. Employee must have a valid driver's license and have a good driving record if required to transport children. Position of trust. SPECIALIZE REQUIREMENT: One year at the CY03 (Target) level or equivalent. Must have completed an Associate of Arts degree in early childhood education, youth development, or related fields or have a Child Development Associate credential or a Youth Development credential (must remain current).
