This position is located at the Veterans Administration Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). VAPAHCS consists of three inpatient facilities located at Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Livermore, plus seven outpatient clinics in San Jose, Capitola, Monterey, Stockton, Modesto, Sonora, and Fremont. This position will serve as the Chief, Materiel Management Section of the Supply Chain Services at the VAPAHCS.Requirements:
To qualify at a GS-12 you must have:One (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level of GS-11 in Federal service. Qualifying examples of specialized experience would typically include but are not limited to: analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of supply/inventory management programs/operations; identifying and resolving issues and problems in the assigned area of responsibility involving supply/inventory management processes, work methods, supply data management, or day-to-day operational procedures; coordinating objectives and plans of specialized supply/inventory management programs; and interpreting policy direction for specific operating requirements and providing recommendations to new/revised local directives, policies, and implementing instructions regarding supply/inventory management programs/operations. IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates.
