Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the ENTERPRISE COMMUNICATIONS & NETWORKS, CODE 55300 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Requirements:

I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The selectee oversees the development and delivery of Information Technology (IT) software, hardware, and services acquisition plans, strategies, and vehicles to DoD and DON stakeholders.

2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Serves as part of the Code 553 Leadership Team and participates in the formulation and implementation of the Division business plan, program development, technical and administrative objectives, working in concert with other Branch Heads to achieve these objectives.

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The selectee will exercise civilian leadership principles in carrying our assigned supervisory duties, including coaching and counseling subordinates; actively supporting EEO programs and demonstrating a commitment to EEO principles and policies; complying with ongoing special emphasis programs in such areas as the internal management control program objectives outlined in core values in the management of human resources, property, and procurement and financial responsibilities.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: The selectee keeps abreast of and evaluates new developments in IT spend trends and emerging technologies; anticipates the implications that probable technological changes will have for the branch's projects; and works directly to correct deficiencies or improve the performance of systems, processes, or operations.

In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band NM-03 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Assists in overseeing the development and delivery of Information Technology (IT) software, hardware, and services acquisition plans, strategies, and vehicles to DoD and DON stakeholders and evaluates new developments in IT spend trends and emerging technologies; works directly to correct deficiencies or improve the performance of systems, processes, or operations.
