Description:

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR) in the POINT LOMA SAN DIEGO DETACHMENT, RADIOLOGICAL CONTROLS OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements:

GS-12

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience developing and carrying out radiological control courses of action and providing technical direction over operations involved in the overhaul of nuclear components on a nuclear-powered vessel.
  • Experience technically coordinating all phases of the radiological work associated with shift assignment.
  • Experience conducting on-site reviews on assigned shifts of radioactive work in progress to determine the level of compliance with radiological control requirements and the adequacy of radiological controls in work procedures.
  • Experience responding to and providing expertise in radiological problem resolution.
  • Experience developing junior members and participate in training lectures and sessions.
