You will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates a mastery knowledge in overall planning management and administration of the contracts and contract administration, contract policy and administrative support groups regarding program directives, contractual activities, and procurement policy interpretation to fulfill customer needs for complex contracts. Specialized experience must include some or all of the following: 1) Serves as an advisor to management and upper management on acquisition issues and program goals and objectives including practicability of acquisition functional programs or work programs; new methods, techniques, and procedures. 2) Manage and lead a large highly skilled workforce in providing overall strategic direction, planning, resolution of highly complex procurement and business problems; 3) Execute management and administrative functions (personnel, budgeting, etc.) for the Contracting Office; 4) Resolve critical problems or develop new approaches for use in planning, negotiating, and administering major acquisitions by formulating acquisition strategies, expediting critical requirements, resolving disagreements, and management expectations; and 5) Manage maximum competition to ensure satisfactory fulfillment of the contractual needs of customers.Applicant must meet the following Department of Defense qualification requirements for 1102 contracting positions: http://www.secnav.navy.mil/donhr/Documents/CivilianJobs/DoD_Qualification_Standard_For_GS-1102.pdf
