You will serve as INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST in the of Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit (NEPMU) FIVE,San Diego, CA NAVENPVNTMEDU 5 SAN DIEGO
Requirements:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:-
- Experience with industrial hygiene training, analytical support, & maintenance and repair of field-portable chemical/ biological/ radiological detection, identification, and quantification instruments and equipment (e.g. gas chromatography/ mass spectroscopy (GC/MS), fourier transform infrared analysis, RAMEN analysis, aerosol measurement, and colorimetric water analysis);
- Experience providing expertise in industrial hygiene, laboratory chemistry, field hazardous waste/materials, and environmental principles to develop new methods and means of validating industrial hygiene and environmental findings;
- Experience developing and engaging in field exercises for training personnel in chemical warfare agent detection in real world environments;
- Experience serving as primary consultant in industrial hygiene work providing scientific communication and translating technical expertise into easy-to-understand content regarding analytical method selection, interpretation of collected data, and troubleshooting/repair of instruments;
