This position serves as the first line supervisor and assistant manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary store, fully participating in the management of activities and functions related to the Department.Requirements:
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, or a combination of the two to qualify.Experience : One year of specialized experience at the GS-06 level or equivalent.
Examples of specialized experience:
-Plans, directs, or assigns work for employees.
-Knowledgeable of multiple departments within a grocery store to evaluate work, provide instruction and conduct on the job training for workers.
-Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Physical requirements : (1) Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of commissary products weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance; heavier items are moved with assistance from other workers or by using weight-handling equipment. (2) Prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and/or climbing. You will attest to your ability to perform these physical requirements in the Questionnaire.
