Description:
This position is located in the Fleet Recreation Program of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department in the Southwest Region. The primary purpose of this position is to provide a comprehensive program of social, cultural, athletic and recreational activities that promote a happy, healthy lifestyle and meet the identified needs and interests of sailors. Incumbent is assigned to the VADM Martin Liberty Center located at Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado.Requirements:
- One-year supervisory experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of recreation policies, principles concepts and methodology of recreation.
- Knowledge and skills required to plan, implement and carry out all activities of a young adult activity program.
- Ability to plan, assign, train and supervise the work of subordinates.
- Knowledge of inventory procedures and controls. Ability to market programs.
- Knowledge of budget preparation and accounting systems and processes.
- Ability to make independent judgment and sound decisions.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
