To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have: at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.- Specialized experience is defined as performing the following types of duties: Administered a financial management program which included long-range programmatic plans and an annual budget as key components. Maintained financial policies to support program goals and provide financial and managerial data used to direct budget execution. Advised management on programmatic effectiveness relative to planned financial objectives, using data from financial management systems. Managed the certification of obligations to ensure financial records were accurate and supported by proper fund control documentation. Prepared annual administrative budgets and operating plans by reviewing past obligations, determining reasonable fund levels, and preparing justifications for recommended allocations.
