This TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position, is located in the Distribution Section of the Deployment and Distribution Flight, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, at an ANG Aviation Wingand is part of the CA 144 FW.
Requirements:
General Experience: Possess experience in developing policies and administering the management of traffic programs, plans and directs traffic operations within the program and performs necessary technical work involved in obtaining economical and efficient transportation of equipment, supplies, and personnel in support of these operations.TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2130-9: Musthave at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, in: the movement of freight or passengers and determining transportation and operating costs; Experience participating in the direction and coordination of traffic management functions; Experience interpreting and providing routine advice on carrier tariffs and related routing guides; Interpreting regulations/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively; Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures; Experience preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges; Experience which involved negotiations with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement; Experience in making effective presentations both orally and in writing.
