Description:

You will serve as a Lead Police Officer in the Force Protection Division of NAVBASE SAN DIEGO SEC DET.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1)Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions;
2) Identify/Deploy specialized or advanced techniques, equipment, knowledge, and/or training;
3) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; and
4) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. Agreement to Continue in Service - CSA, Agency requires 36 months of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse to the agency for fees, such as tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.
