About the Position: This position will be located in the Department of Social Work under Directorate of Medical Services, Naval Medical Center, San Diego CA providing medical social work services at Naval Medical Center San Diego to our beneficiaries. Hours are M-F with core hours being 0700-1530 with flexibility on starting times as long as you work 8.5 hours to include 30 min lunch.This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Individual Occupational Requirement for Social Worker:
Degree : Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. (NOTE: You must attach copy of your transcripts)In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Medical Social Work including discharge planning, case management and high risk issues such as domestic violence, child & elder abuse and complex mental health. Ability to complete psychosocial assessments and develop safe and effective discharge plans for patients. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Selective Place Factor Requirement:
Licensure : A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your license)
