Description:

Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supervisory Repayment Specialist. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment.

Duty Location: Folsom, California

Requirements:

To qualify for the GS-12 : You must possess one year of specialized experience that is comparable in scope and complexity to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal civil service, having demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the administrative processes involved in the management of water resource projects; formulating, administering, and/or negotiating natural resource management contracts or water service contracts in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies; drafting and/or preparing water service agreement documents and implementing strategic negotiation processes in relation to proposed or existing contracts; negotiating agreements or persuading concerned parties to agree on reasonable terms; reviewing delivery schedules for compliance with water service, conveyance, and purchase agreements; coordinating or assisting with economic analyses, land evaluations, and/or cost analyses to develop recommendations pertaining to natural resource management contracts or water service contracts. These examples are not all-inclusive and represent the type of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal civil service (GS-11).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
