You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist in the Force Protection Division of NAVBASE VENTURA COUNTY SEC.$25,000 RELOCATION/RECRUITMENT INCENTIVES MAY BE AUTHORIZED
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing threat assessments for personnel and assets which have anti-terrorism responsibilities; 2) Updating plans, manuals, and instructions to provide recommendations regarding changes to security specifications; 3) Conducting inspections of mission essential vulnerable assets, arms, ammunition, and explosive storage facilities and critical infrastructure; 4) Conducting classroom, formal, and informal training on crime prevention and physical security awareness programs; 5) Serving as a Loss Prevention Technical Specialist/ Security Advisor for the installation during meetings.This position has been designated as a Security Professional Educational Development (SPēD) position. A SPēD certification is required within 24 months of assuming the position and must be maintained through the entire length of appointment. Declining to gain SPēD certification or loss of certification during employment is grounds for removal
