Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in the N30, FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES of NB SAN DIEGO.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Leading the day-to-day operations for assigned shift providing guidance on firefighter related procedures;
  • Fighting structural fires using pre-fire planning methods and knowledge of layouts and design;
  • Operating firefighting emergency vehicles and equipment;
  • Providing hazardous material incident response; and,
  • Providing basic life support procedures as needed for each emergency call.
DoD Certifications Required: Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, and HAZMAT Incident Commander. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC, or ProBoard to meet the requirement. Additional Certification Required: National Registry EMT (NREMT) If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached copies of your certifications, you will be rated ineligible.
