Description:
You will serve as a Lead Engineer in the NETWORKS AND DIGITAL SYSTEM SUSTAINMENT DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer providing leadership and guidance in the technical design and development process utilizing designs and drawings, modeling, prototyping, and production of electronics products; applying system engineering principles, methods, and procedures to architect, design, integrate, and evaluate systems, sub-systems, and interfaces to meet requirements; applying configuration management principles to establish and maintain consistency of a system's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information throughout its life; and ensuring quality assurance, quality control, process improvement, and reliability are used to ensure that a project, system, or product meets requirements and standards.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
