You will serve as a SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE VICTIM ADVOCATE of NB SAN DIEGO.Requirements:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience performing essential victim service, advocacy, and support duties providing a non-clinical response that is trauma-informed, gender-responsive, culturally responsive, and recovery oriented, and without prejudice to adult victims of sexual assault;
- Experience developing rapport and actively listening, to provide initial victim advocacy services and crisis intervention support for adult victims of sexual assault;
- Experience accepting official reports of sexual assault by assisting the victim in completing applicable forms;
- Experience demonstrating expertise in offering guidance to victims on reporting options; and
- Experience planning, scheduling and delivering SAPR training for diverse stakeholders and local population.
