Description:

You will serve as a AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAN LEADER in the MRO PRODUCTION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Requirements:

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE

1) Demonstrating knowledge of installations, operations, and requirements of electrical principles, and multiple parameter specialized test benches; 2) Utilizing various types of hand tools common to the electrician trade; 3) Using test equipment such as ohm meters volt meters, test lights, harness testers, counters, Wheatstone bridges, decode capacitors and resistors, capacitor analyzers, meggers and special test equipment; 4) Assisting in prototyping new modifications to aircraft structures and systems; 5) Working from blueprints, wiring diagrams, manuals, handbooks, and technician directives; 6) Troubleshooting aircraft electrical components and aircraft systems; 7) Demonstrating experience on a class of systems or materials to analyze, draw conclusions, evaluate, and report on complex system operation problems.
