You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Facility and Infrastructure Management Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:(1) Providing assistance in the continual refinement of facility requirements to management based on customer needs and requests and overall plant requirements; (2) Assisting in developing a Facility Acquisition Strategy to address shortfalls and a disposition/ rehabilitation strategy to address excess or obsolete facilities; (3) Developing recommendations to implement designated special projects internally or with a specific agency, as well as providing coordination and oversight of the special project(s) with the agency performing the work; (4) Managing plant equipment by identifying and analyzing customer requirements and acquiring, modifying, and disposing of facility equipment, non-ADP machine controls, and labor-saving office equipment; and (5) Submitting equipment acquisition documentation along with determining specific project requirements with customers and developing the necessary engineering drawings and sketches to support documentation for project implementation.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include technical work in: drafting, surveying construction estimating, physical science, mathematics, aerospace, architecture, chemicals, electrical or mechanical systems, mining, petroleum, or nuclear systems.
Experience in a trade or craft may be credited as specialized experience when the work provided intensive knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and precedents. Examples are trade positions with substantial developmental, test, or design responsibilities such as:
- Planner and estimator who analyzed designs for production purposes.
- Instrument maker or model maker who performed design or development work on devices fabricated.
