Description:

You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the KNOWLEDGE AND PROCESS CODE 84300 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Requirements:

I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Responsible for the analysis and development of the integration, testing, operations and maintenance of systems security. Responsible for developing overall functional requirements and system level requirements.

2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Develops effective marketing strategies to maximize market penetration and customer satisfaction; provides executive level management with dashboards and intelligence derived from Hub/Power Platform data and usage statistics

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Responsible for adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of the Hub to NIWC employees.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: being extremely resourceful, possess a keen sense of attention to detail, be forward thinking, and be able to solve complex problems in a timely manner, with little to no oversight.

NO-05:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band NO-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Extensive experience in configuring and customizing JIRA, to support enterprise business processes, including dashboards, workflows, screens, fields, permission and notification schemes; ensuring compliance with DoD IT policies and implemented security controls to remediate vulnerabilities, mitigate risk, and recommend system security enhancements.

NO-04:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band NO-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in developing and maintaining tools in JIRA platform, to support enterprise business processes, including dashboards, workflows, screens, fields, permission and notification schemes; ensuring compliance with DoD IT policies and implemented security controls to remediate vulnerabilities, mitigate risk, and recommend system security enhancements.
