Description:
You will serve as a Mechanical Shop Supervisor in the Mechanical Shop, Production Resources Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience managing and overseeing projects and facility work and maintenance.
- Experience making independent investigations of shop practices, procedures, and policies to identify deficiencies and direct corrective actions.
- Experience with analytical management techniques, including production and material control, cost control and personnel management.
- Experience planning and executing facility modernization, incorporating advancements in equipment, and ensuring that equipment and tooling are available and are provided when needed.
- Experience communicating orally and in writing to resolve problems, initiate solutions, coordinate efforts, obtain information, and provide feedback to management.
