Description:

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN(MATERIALS) in the FST ENGINEERING GROUP of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Comprehensive knowledge in the following corrosion technical processes: Masking for Coating Removal, Coating Removal via Mechanical Sanding, Coating Removal via Plastic Media Blasting, Chemical Conversion Coating Application, Masking for Coating Application, Waterborne Primer Application, Solvent-borne Primer Application, Polyurethane Topcoat Application, Rain Erosion Coating Application, Conductive Coating Application, RAM Coating Application, RAM Thickness Verification Testing, RAM Density Verification Testing, Tape Test Adhesion Testing; 2) Experience providing comprehensive technical services (i.e., testing, data, reports) in support of production or managerial decision-making; 3) Develop training curriculum and providing technical training to others on existing aircraft technical directive requirements, processes, and/or newly developed procedures; 4) Collaborates on the development of specifications, processes, and test procedures that apply a full range of principles, concepts, and manufacturing best practices (i.e., tooling, facilities, QA); 5) Collaborate with engineering teams to develop test plans, modify standard practices and adapt equipment or techniques to solve various technical problems, such as space and budgetary limitations and environmental considerations.
