Programmer Analyst I

Concord, CA

Job Summary

Supports and facilitates the use of applications systems to improve the efficiency of daily operations, resolve technical issues, meet new business needs, and comply with new plan rules and regulatory requirements. Works with IT Applications Managers, the development team and IT Operations to support business units and vendors regarding the transfer, extraction, and processing of data and application enhancements and changes. Analyzes, researches, identifies, recommends, and clearly articulates technical solutions to business and applications requirements and production issues.

Skillset

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college in a related field, 3 years related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Postgres database, PL/pgSQL and PLSQL best practices.
  • Development experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with AWS cloud resources (such as S3).
  • Experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as DBeaver.
  • Experience with text editor (such as Ultraedit)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access database).
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and operational support of production applications
  • Experience with Java development a plus.
  • Optional - Knowledge of the Vitech V3 Benefits Management system.

Deliverables

  • Develops and/or works with programmers to provide back-end application tools for various departments to meet business needs.
  • Performs testing of changes prior to deployment to the Benefits Mgmt production system.
  • Reviews Benefits Management System s business user security configuration and adjusts based on changing requirements.
  • Creates Scripts to support batch processing and scheduling requirements.
  • Extracts and manipulates data using SQL codes to support business data requirements.
  • Prepares technical documentation to describe all program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
  • Provides technical production support for various departments.
