Engineering Technician, Equipment, Abuse Test & Engineering

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, preventive and correct maintenance on test equipment in our labs
• Troubleshooting mechanisms and electro-mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, data acquisition systems, safety systems, and sensors
• Perform the fabrication, assembly, and/or modifications of automated test equipment including controls, actuators, and safety controls
• Produce or revise test equipment procedures and documentation
• Support development and testing of new tests and test equipment

Requirements

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions in order to fabricate metal parts & components. This includes the ability to understand and use CAD files
• Machine tool & metal fabrication skills are required. Welding skillset required. Various methods and metals such as stainless steel. Previous fabricator / fab shop experience required. Machine tool experience including manual and CNC milling desired. 3D printing knowledge desired
• Knowledge of a variety of fasteners, adhesives, and general best practices for the use of hand tools/ power tools
• Familiarity with Automation, PLC's, Data acquisition, Electrical controls
• Ability to wire up control panels, PLCs, sensors, and various controls and data acquisition equipment
• High awareness of safety hazards, procedures, and best work practices as it relates to high energy systems
• Working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Eager to learn, independently motivated, and proactive

Expected Compensation

$24.40 - $65.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
