Requirements:

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate one year of Specialized Experience.

To qualify at the GS-11 level your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in drafting initial facility plans and project scopes of work; 2) Reading and interpreting drawings, designs, and plans; 3) Developing conceptual design and quantitative criteria for complex architectural/engineering project; and 4) Applying resourcefulness, initiative, and judgment based on experience to deviate from or extend traditional architectural methods. NOTE: Your resume must clearly support these duties.

OR

To qualify at the GS-12 level your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting feasibility studies for design of new facilities or maintenance, repair, and modernization of existing facilities; 2) Planning and Leading project design conferences/work sessions and on-site design charrettes/Functional Analysis Concept Development; 3) Providing post construction award services, including review and approval of contractor's submittals for conformance with requirements of the contract drawing/specifications.; and 4) Determining the best approach in terms of cost, system capability, customer requirements, and available technology for in-house design projects. Physical Demands
The work requires regular and recurring construction or field inspections, investigations, or surveys in which there is a considerable amount of walking, stooping, bending, and climbing.

Work Environment
Work is usually performed in an office setting, although there may be occasional exposure to conditions in buildings under construction or contractors' plants.
