You will serve as a Supply Management Specialist in the Hazardous Material Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Supply Management Specialist work that demonstrates technical and analytical work utilizing a practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies to perform inventory management, material coordination, and inventory control of hazardous materials. I have experience and a working knowledge of supply software systems that support the management, coordination, and/or control of hazardous materials. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Apply established methods and procedures of HAZMAT and CHRIMP (Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program) management regulations and policies to assist in developing implementation strategies which will reduce risk and cost, increase efficiency and/or improve program compliance; 2) Ability to communicate orally and in writing to prepare management briefings; 3) Apply federal, state, and local HAZMAT laws and regulations and policies in order to adapt established methods and procedures to meet the requirements of the law; 4) Ability to use a variety of computer software systems to review, analyze, and disseminate HAZMAT data by preparing environmental reports; 5) Reviews and evaluates interim support measures and initiates corrective action in conjunction with supply, procurement, maintenance, and personnel.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series
