Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (PLCY/PLN) in the Information Technology Division (CIO3) of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1) Planning and assigning work to subordinates based on priorities; 2) Managing the preparation and execution of budgets including making or recommending business decisions affecting expenditures, directing the creation of Information Technology Procurement Request (ITPR's),SOW and price quotes; and 3) Developing plans to support sustainment, upgrade and replacement of IT assets; 4) Overseeing IT management and customer service support.

In addition to the specialized experience, your resume must demonstrate the following: 1.Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Coordinating development of system documentation for complex assignments in accordance with DoD, agency, and local standards.2.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing technical support and guidance to functional IT users throughout the organization.3.Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Briefing senior leaders on recommended changes and modifications to information technology (IT) systems and services.4.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Using complex database and file accessing techniques to search, backup, test and recover data.
