Description:

You will serve as a Training Instructor (Water Survival) in the Aviation Survival Training Center (ASTC), Naval Survival Training Institute (NTSI) Detachment of NMOTC DET NSTI ASTC MIRAMAR CA.
  • The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

Requirements:

For GS-09 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
  • Experience as a second-class Diver.
  • Navy Dive School or equivalent experience.
  • Experience utilizing automated systems (e.g., management information system, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to extract information.
  • Experience assisting with clerical and administrative functions to support the needs of the organization.
  • Experience preparing reports and maintaining documents in electronic files for easy retrieval.
