Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in hotel/restaurant management, food service management, business administration, management, or a closely related field AND five (5) years of progressively responsible experience planning, coordinating, and directing multiple food service and/or commercial recreation facilities with diverse operational functions. OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skills equivalent to that gained in the above OR appropriate experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skills equivalent to that gained in the above. Thorough knowledge of business practices, economic principles and ability to analyze trends and make improvements required. Must demonstrate the ability to deal effectively with superiors, subordinates, vendors, and the public. Must have experience briefing senior leadership both civilian and military. Must have oral and written communication skills, and ability to evaluate, negotiate and determine potentially successful vendors. Knowledge of MCCS operations preferred. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
